Politics as well as government consist of two sides. First is on the name of communalism and in favor of majority, casteism, corruption or discrimination it is accused and at the helm of this everything mentioned here!
Another can be classified when it is not responsible for harm but it ought to be responsible to transform or to eradicate something. It is supposed to take steps as the campaign against "today's condition of intolerance" has been started!
Those days are not gone yet and we can remember Mr Hardik Patel who with reservation issue brought in casteism and due to it the nation and revolution itself are still burning. That yet has not been resolved and communalism took place. Coincidentally they both have their roots in casteism and religion! This is an ancient burning issue from which India's exclusion seems far-fetched!
Have a glance at whatever has been said by Rushdie:
" what has crept into Indian life now is a degree of thuggish violence which is new. And it seems to be given permission by the silence of official bodies, the silence of the Sahitya Akademi..... by the silence of the prime minister's office. "

We believe that protest against this intolerance ( a feeling of not accepting another like one's own but creates differences at utmost level) has chosen an instrument of Indian writers' national awards to be given back to begin campaign against communal violence!
It will always be an irony of India for it has always inspired world with its persona of democracy where the word "democracy" itself shows that everybody is privileged if they are part of majority group and have right to control any minority group.
This incident not only shows conflict of Hinduism and Islam the way in the village of Bisara at small outskirt of Delhi, victim was beaten up because of his food of beef but it shows conflict between democracy and freedom of speech ! Conflict of democracy lies there where 80% of the Indian population follows the hindu faith and cow as sacred mother and conflict of freedom of speech lies there where Malleshappa Kalburgi's critical saying regarding his encounter of wrong beliefs of religion annoyed Hindu extremists bitterly and he was gunned down!
People have never considered their own practices evil that hurt others' religion and they also don't accept others' rites which are so particular at their own! They only yearn for the blood of their opponents who go against them. Where does equality lie? Where does democracy come from? There has always been intolerance!
