Setting off of firecrackers!
AN INHABITANT ONLY GETS WESTERNIZED WHEN HE FINDS THAT HIS OWN INTERESTS ARE EVILS AND AT THE END IMMIGRANT WILL TURN OUT TO BE AN INHABITANT!
Deewali is our festival in which we live the festivity and become so festive with our own conceived rituals but these posters at this point perhaps seem to be making us become so far away as in nativism there is policy to increase the numbers of inhabitants to prevent establishments of immigrants and some ideas are like gift being westernized.
Post-colonial study and its movement contains enlargement of Europe all over the world and uncountable years were spent in it. Dominant center carries control, influence over its margins. Here colonialism if we commonly and simply say is a time of immense dominance of hierarchical elite class over some aboriginal and marginalized people. But here the way these intellectual movements are taking place obviously shows the context of post -colonialism or rather (reawakening of post- colonial phase) and raising voice in opposition to elite people who just show off money and gather people around them to make show as if they giving moral messages to burst firecrackers. Here, the class of minority, some, who don’t afford or some being descended from the same majority class understand the importance of pollution free climate!
Second perspective that all of a sudden takes place is in regard to elders who go on giving moral lessons to their children about the evils of crackers and how destructive they have been to ecology where if they burst some smallest ones wouldn’t affect that much in comparison with the number of larger size containing crackers bombard! Alas! The elders are accused of the loss of childish enthusiasm regarding crackers into their mind when they can teach the lessons of illuminations to the children if they allow moral messages along with crackers. The children are told the story about the source of illumination , enhancement, self exploration with the historical anecdotes of Shree Rama’s arrival to Ayodhya.
Here elite class is elders who force children not to set off crackers just because some morons who are mature enough to understand have been so much fond of doing it and inflict those civic duties or citizenship upon the children to follow. It becomes dominant influence as your part on your children(margins) where aim is to increase social, pedagogical, cultural exchange these children seem to be performing!
Third angle to look at has something to do with some logos like, “raise your voice”, “make the moment animated to voice”. As in rewriting of Shakespeare’s “The Tempest”, Cesiare in “A Tempest” gives special tongue to Caliban against Prospero. These children don’t seem to be revolutionary but their peacefulness holding posters in hands and appealing is revolutionary in itself especially in absence of violence! The struggle of protest holding problems on faces of innocence shows the same struggle for ethnic, cultural autonomy with reference to morality and psychology which is one of the major aims in post- colonial theory. Either the children have been made endowed with attainment of awareness regarding social and cultural influences forced by elite or they genuinely protest without any forces from elders and are aware of superiority inflicted upon or enforced by elite (fan of crackers)being in a colonized state!f being children they can understand, then elders can and it is a post colonial way applied by elite (elders) where the children have just become tool!
Conflicting matter is when someone like Prospero in “The Tempest” uses not black magic but does it for the good of society and he himself is a master (colonizer) who awaits destruction of his brother having been usurped by him to death. Like in post-colonialism colonizers are worth to be understood at the protest and in apposition it becomes worth to identify hierarchical class. Are these attitudes of giving tongue to avoid pollution innate or acquired by experiences? Who are immigrants here? Where did they come from? Can these children be considered the production of innate, inborn culture where they have found fire crackers destructive or they have experienced something?
